Not only is our Egg-velope an eggcelent way to use your fingering weight yarn scraps, but it‘s a quirky little project to put a smile on someone‘s face. Work this egg-shaped envelope flat (and in one piece!) and seam the sides to create a tiny vessel for notes, candy, or even an egg.

You can use this Egg-velope for:

• sending a note (they're great for lunchboxes)
• creating a scavenger hunt around the house or office
• bringing an egg to room temperature. In an egg-velope they won't roll off the table
• delivering candy....especially chocolate eggs

PROJECT SPECS:

Finished size: approximately 3.5" (9 cm) tall x 2.5" (6 cm) wide

Yarn: less that 5 y (4.5 m) of fingering weight yarn. 

Needles: US size 4 (3.5 mm) to knit flat. 

Gauge: 7 sts = 1" (2.5 cm)

Notions: darning needle for weaving in ends
